26/03/2013 - New single due for release on Friday 12th April 2013 on Reekus Records: "Is This What You Waited For?" Available on iTunes and all good record stores (Eire only).

From the Band's Facebook page:

"IS THIS WHAT YOU WAITED FOR, our first single in 23 years, is due for release April 11, on Reekus Records, with whom we have had a long relationship dating back to our pre- CBS/EPIC years in 1986. We are really proud of the result. It has taken a huge effort but we think it's been worth it. Produced and recorded in Switzerland and Ireland, mixed in Los Angeles, mastered in New York this is a serious release and we hope shows our commitment to once again reach the highest standards possible. We hope you agree :-) But you can hear it from today on nationwide radio. Please send in requests to your local and national radio stations and lets get started. Please please share the news because we really need your support. New dates will be announced soon. We are excited and nervous but very very proud that against all the odds and after all these years, we once again have the opportunity to play our music with renewed vigor and passion."
01/12/2011 - New album out on the CBD Records label: "Live At The Opera House". Available at Amazon, IrishCountry.ie and all good records stores. Buy it now!

22/02/2011 - From the Facebook page: "You can expect a 'very best of' album very soon and also we will be trying to get "The Seed That's Been Sown" to No 1. We need everybody's help!"

05/04/2011 - The first new album for 22 years will be released on 8th April (mp3) and 11th April (CD) on the Sony Music Entertainment label. Available at Amazon and all good records stores.

1. Gone Forever
2. Witness For The World
3. No Living Without You
4. The Seed That's Been Sown
5. Girl In The Ghetto
6. Last Of The Sun
7. Victorians
8. Silly Dreams
9. Only Want You For Your Soul
10. Always To Win
11. Flags
12. Follow Me
13. Forlorn Point
14. White Strand
15. Stateside Europe
16. The Seed That's Been Sown (12" Mix)
17. Girl In The Ghetto (12" Mix)

My verdict: so, we're missing "Tender Years", "Second Sight" and "Nobody Knows" from the first album and "Yesterday's Girl", "Your Little World", "Big Wheels" and "The Best You Can Find" from the second. Chuck in the 'rarer than rare' first single "Follow Me", the instrumental "Folorn Point " & title track from the 12" single of "The Seed That's Been Sown" and finally the extended mix from the "Girl In The Ghetto" 12" single and you have your new album. I would prefer to have seen two or three of the other b-side tracks (maybe "Sentimental " & "Back To Basics"), or a studio version of "Precious Land", over the 12" mixes as I personally feel they don't add anything to the original versions. I would also like them in chronological order but I am quite fussy! That said, it really is fantastic to see a new release from the band after all this time. It should please old and new fans alike and I hope that it sells extremely well, especially if it leads on to the long-awaited third studio album. Go and buy it now!
